It looks like the TV program will be put back until next year now.
Terrible shame!
It also means that i escape ridicule for a little bit longer.
Cheers,
Toby

It also means that i escape ridicule for a little bit longer. Not any more! To my surprise and delight when I turned the tv on this morning (approx 9am), a certain programme about what people wanted to be when they grew up, presented by the one and only Adrian Chiles, happened to be gracing BBC1 with its presence! Fancy that! ;D Number 9 in the list is on at the same time tomorrow, so if there is one on every morning then Toby should be all set for ridicule on Tuesday 9th January for number 2 in the list! ...unfortunately I'll be back at school by 9am on that particular day, so I think a recording device of some sort is most definitely called for...

Well spotted Emily!
For full listings see the bbc web site... The seven day listing page is very usefull to ensure no one misses it.. But if you do i will have it on dvd for anyone to borrow.

Oh - having just checked the listings I have discovered that they are not showing the series on weekends, so taking that into account it would probably be best to set the video for Thursday the 11th instead...
...that was close - I would have missed it!

If it can't be web-ified, can someone please breach copyright and record for those not close enough to get reception?

I hadn't realised until I looked at this in the Radio Times today that it's based on a poll of the most desirable jobs. Presumably archaeologist came in 8th, and since the previous two were pilot, and photographer an archaeologist doing aerial photography must be pretty well sorted ;D.

One of my professors takes aerial photos; he used to tell us funny stories about flying which had nothing to do with our lecture topic...happy days But back on this topic; just saw a clip of tomorrow's programme and it looks good. Nothing to worry about Toby : ;D

Presumably archaeologist came in 8th... Archaeologist is 3rd! How highly do you rate your own subject! More people want to be an archaeologist than be a: - zookeeper
- doctor
- footballer
- property developer
- singer
- pilot
- photographer
Singer was definitely the funniest! Adrian Chiles should not give up his day job if that is what he really wanted to do - it was painful!

Ahh! I see it's a countdown , according to the RT actor is top, but they don't say what come in at ntmber 2. I must say that being property developer wouldn't be my idea of a romantic job , but it takes all sorts to make the world, at least they get to fund the archaeologists!

Well, what do you know- Toby giggles like a girl on TV too A most entertaining start to my morning- especially as I could play 'spot the person you know' for 2 places (I dug with David 'career-change-archaeologist' at Chester). Did anyone else get slightly annoyed with the 'We're counting down the top 10 things you'd like to do. At number 3 it's archaeologist' inserts every 15 minutes. I KNOW- that's why I'm watching the programme .
