Sorry for removing previous posts on the subject but we had chaos the other year and I do not want a repeat showing of that.
The reunion will be on the weekend of the 24th-26th November.. as chosen by the people posting here on the forum.
Can you only put down specific for that weekend on this thread (remember the pm system for contact details)

Only Joking... Or was I?
What we have done in previous years is sort stuff out weeks in advance and then Ged changes everything the day before!!!!!!
Now that Keith has got the ball rolling... any ideas?
I may need a place that is dog friendly if we are out earlier in the day.

Does that mean a dog friendly pub or are we thinking we may be a bit more active during the day? (Active meaning not sitting in the pub - i'm not suggesting a hike or anything)

Can I put a vote in for the Tap & Spile it serves (mostly) good beer and as far as I know is dog friendly, alternatively I have seen dogs in the Royal Oak, admittedly really small ones (pink and flying around my head : . Of course I would be quite happy to do things other than sit in a pub, ah who am I kidding ;D!

I was thinking of 2 walks.
One from my house to a dog friendly pub (if all goes well).
The second from said pub to my house.
I could manage a third or fourth between pubs, but I will need to have some sort of liquid refreshments to stop me dehydrating.... I am a modern athlete who is very careful about hydration levels......................

I will maybe not join in with the shopping side of things as I will once again be playing 'Christmas Shopping Chicken' once again. The joy of others panic stricken faces on Christmas Eve is something that I must join in with.

No sense of adventure, Kendell! ;D Can't deny it's a fairly frantic weekend, but that's all the fun of it. As long as we get at least one in the 3LM (Three Legged Mare, aka Wonkey Donkey) on the Friday night, I'll be quiet. Please, Keith, not the 'Royal Oak'! It's the pub where people go to die! 'The Minster' is preferable to that. The Ye Olde Starre Inn isn't too bad. And, for those who made the last of the 'Toby Walks', there were a whole bunch of pubs that looked rather interesting. Anyway, the Minster is fairly OK now that they have painted it - just as long as you don't drink the Coke. How's Uni, Keith? Will get around to that email. Promise! Back to my struggle with physics

Ness when were you last in the Royal Oak it's had new young landlord/lady for about a year, that and the Tap are my two regular pubs, but then I am a grumpy old git . On the whole I am happy to leave it up to Toby to choose the pubs on his walk, I would just ask that we avoid the new trendy pubs infesting York at the moment (Slug & Lettuce, Varsity, etc.), I think that I am safe in this, but who knows Toby may be a young trendy on the quiet. ;D As to university I've not started yet, term doesn't start until 9th October, induction to Archaeology department on 11th, and first lecture 16th Oct. It's a hard life as a student. PS. I've just noticed that the spell checker for this website misspells archaeology (but not archaeologist)!!

Keith - workshy student that you are (joke!)
I am not gonna choose the place/s we end up. I will let everybody else make a decision.
Sometime I am a young (yes I do work outside, before that old joke starts up again!) trendy, just depends what mood I am in. Varsity has just got a bad vibe so I do not like it there. I used to go to Ha Ha a lot, but the toilets were smelly - Now we often go to Dusk.... Just depends what we fancy.
There are some reasonably good football matches on that weekend?!?
I might be able to do a 'new site' tour by then as well.
I nevre noticd tehre wos a slpel chekcer.
