I'm also booked in for the Friday and Saturday nights - I hope to be in York early enough on Friday to see something of the festival events As for pub trips - I thought this was to be an educational and serious weekend to learn about the Vikings. No? Well, as you all know, I don't really do the pub thing and am always totally sober, but I suppose we could visit the occasional inn for old times' sake I believe that Ged is also booked in - perhaps he'll be persuaded to join in a quiet pub trip Looking forward to seeing lots of people! G x

Hi! By now you have all probably looked at the programme on the web? www.jorvik-viking-centre.co.uk/events3.htm Loads of stuff to keep us occupied over the weekend. A couple of interesting activities but but nothing that we cannot pay for 'at the door'. Another year goes by and still no ship burning. d**n! I'm around all day on the Friday should anyone get into York early and fancy a meet. You'll find my mobile number on the members' section, if you haven't got it already. Looking forward to it ;D

Hi! By now you have all probably looked at the programme on the web? ;D I can only find the general 'theme for each day' list and last year's programme from your link and all the other ways I can think of to try to find out more - where am I going wrong? Any thoughts on booking somewhere to eat? I guess you'll need to know approx numbers. I'm coming by coach this time, should be arriving early Fri pm, so will be in touch! You're not the only one who's looking forward to it, Ness! ;D See lots of you soon, I hope G

If you click on the day it brings up a list of the events that will be happening, when, and where.
Back to the grindstone...

I don't know what time I'll be in on Friday but if it's early i'll text and see what people are doing. I say this every time but I must remember to eat at some point, prpeferably before too much alcohol is consumed. Looking forward to doing Vikingy things too. Ellen x

"Another year goes by and still no ship burning. d**n!" Ness, you need to visit Shetland in late January for Up Helly Aa. The largest fire festival in Europe (apparently), the highlight of which is the burning of a Viking longship. www.shetlandtourism.com/pages/up_helly_aa.htm
