Happy New Year to you all from me too ! Well, back to work tomorrow.... another day, another chance to find something shiny ! I should be so lucky - it'll probably be a few more bits of Viking pot (la-la-la!) and odd piece of shoe leather though, which is still all good archaeology ! Looking forward to the next reunion - only a couple of months away - hope people are getting places to stay sorted OK. Hopefully there will be more to see @ Hungate by then

Happy New Year to all!
Lets see if we can make 2007 a good one.
(I managed to play fairy godmother for Pam this morning - wishes do come true!)

Yep. It was like Christmas all over again ! I think the tally today ended at around 6 Cu coins (my first coin finds since I started digging 6 years ago!), 4 Cu pins, a Cu button, a tiny glass bead, a blue barley twist glass rod (about 15 cm long) and a nearly complete clay pipe with a with harp, heart, shamrocks and the name Erin on the bowl....
Amazin' what you can find down old drain pipes ! ;D

Outside a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside a dog, it's too dark to read!

Nice one, Pam! That's right, you keep him out of the trench!
