November 2009 update Before you ask.... Yes it has been a little soggy on site! The people who had a look round during the November reunion got to see the swimming baths/features. The pump has done a lot of work for us. The building with Artemi has been even more complicated. You can see what remains of the steps and rear plank wall (stains on the upstanding soil strip) The northwest side has now revealed proper post holes with post pads The southwest had a solid timber sill which covered earlier pits The last building in the bottom corner has also been sorted out It looks like it may have been shortened at some point, or a partition put in at the very least. This one has post pads, but no post holes. Basically each building is different which is very interesting for the archaeology of this date. Elena also found an ancient inscription! (Joke - just in case somebody thinks it could be real) A big thank you to the team for doing some great work in really poor conditions.
