I have just been having a chat with the people from Zik Zak (they were the shop who did the T-shirt last year) and they are going to be ready for us again this year.
Tonight I will put something together on a similar theme to last season. Tomorrow it will be checked out to see if it works as a T-shirt. Hopefully by the end of the day we can get a link from here to their website and you can order them before (or for when) you arrive.
... so a last call for suggestions (clean ones!)

No real inspiration, but I suggest 'keep it simple' ie not too many logo's or slogans; just 'York Archaeology Live! 2006' and the place, plus your single striking image (I don't mean an image of you, Toby, delightful as that would be, but something that links with the site or a more general archy image eg trowel, skelly, lump of CBM.........). I liked last year's but thought it was a wee bit cluttered - however, whatever you come up with, I'll buy one!!

They are very busy at Zik Zak for the next week and a bit so it would b best to wait a few days.
I will tidy the image up and then send it to them so they have it in the next day or so.
For the content I have to put - Dig title, Site name and year, Company and linked resources (so.... Arch Live, Saviours 2006, YAT, DIG and a picture) So it may seem a bit busy (Remember that you can ask at the shop for any variation on it)

Toby, I think they should be signed by you and be a numbered limited edition. That way we can make a profit auctioning on eBay..... (btw, Ged had a really good design last year, how about an alternative 'away' strip to match the official 'home' kit)

Toby, I had a feeling that there was lots of 'required info'. One of the problems with T-shirts with lots of words is that some blokes seem to have to read them closely, especially those being worn by attractive young ladies ........ not a problem I have these days, so I will await the link for Zik Zak with anticipation. Paul... I hope you do not mean the one that Ged got as a present at the end of the dig? That is definitely not a clean option. You can always get different colours with them if you want - it is just a case of asking at Zik Zak when you get the t-shirt..... They will even do a pink one for Elena!
Gill..... I will not get a pair of shorts printed for myself then...........

There is a solution to the problem Gill mentioned above. To avoid undesirable 'attention' get the design printed on the back of the shirt.....

They are now ready to roll at Zik Zak.
I am getting 2x blue Elena is getting a black one and a pink one... Make sure you bring your sunglasses.
I will try to get a picture up on this later (maybe tomorrow as very busy with stuff).
The nice people at Zik Zak have asked that people try to get them oredered before Saturdays as they are a slow one to make and they have usually got a Saturday rush anyway.
The contact address for them is on the website [ftp]http://www.zikzak.co.uk/[/ftp]

OK, another of my trademark stupid questions. Are these t-shirts available to people doing the taster courses? And while I'm at it, did you ever get a picture of the shirt? Thanks for bearing with the newbie Cheers Mark

Or the back of the shorts in Toby's case?? Probably best that that does not happen - would it really have been wise to draw any more attention to the butcrack of doom? I think the BBC filming lot got enough shots of that...
