Only going to be in York for the day on Saturday - have never been to Viking Fes before so going to have a look round during the day. Train back to Huddersfield about 9pm. Meeting at the 'Minster' round 5pm sounds good to me. Is anyone meeting lunchtime Sat and if so where and what time? Joan

Suggestions needed urgently for place to meet for lunch on Saturday. Toby, you're a local - any ideas? I can suggest a time - 12.30 (if that's not too early for those who are hoping for a hangover after Friday night) but have no idea of where there's a good, not too expensive lunch place big enough for a group of us.
The folk who are arriving on Saturday and would like to lunch need to know!! Gill

Right then.....
I will be in the Minster Inn from no later than 5pm on Friday (probably a little bit earlier). We can then head out to Ye Olde Starree Inneee later on, catching others there. I suggest people may want to try get food before too late (you know what fun we had with big groups and food on Thursday nights... admittedly there are few memories of those evenings due to the lack of food!)
Saturday I will also be there from 5pm (as long guests that are staying are sorted on time)
People eating on the Saturday lunchtime should try 'Oscars', good food, big portions (calm down at the back) and good surroundings...... Just make sure you get there early as it can get very busy. Sitting outside is not bad as it is covered and heated, just watch out for the push chairs.
Other than that it can be pot luck. 'Wildes' can be good but is small etc etc etc.

That's great, Toby - see you in the Minster about 5. Suggest we move to Olde Starre for 7.30 as several people are expecting to arrive about then and can go straight there, and it should be early enough to get food.
One more question - where's Oscar's? Gill.
