Hope everybody is well, ,and not getting blown away in the wind today. I should have listened to my mum and taken a coat with me... it was ffffff freezing.
So what are people doing for the spring meet?
A 'special' day that is taking place on the 9th of April will be going on in Victor J's. Upstairs was booked by Claire... so I will be forced into celebrating (with an 'r').
Everybody is welcome to come along and make comments about 'working outside' and having a 'hard life' etc.... You may even get chance to poke me with a pointy stick and laugh, if I drink too much strong lager.
Planning for 2005 is moving along.... If anybody wants a poster to put up, just e-mail me and i will send a file.
Cheers
Toby

Ahh yes, March 11th... spent the day painting a Land Rover, including an uncomfortable 3 hours lying underneath on cold, damp tarmac painting the chassis.....said vehicle is now on a ship sailing for Australia. I reckon I must have earned a substantial number of 'favours' (or 'taxi rides'??). You would have thought this also entitled me to an extra special birthday present but with less than 3 hours remaining of my 'special day', I still haven't received anything !! Mind you, when you get to my age, birthdays are something best ignored..... However, I could probably be persuaded to 'celebrate' someone else's misfortune ;D

Dear Pam and Mel and everyone else who knows me. I am definitely going to the reunion but not looking forward to the squalor of the last place a few of us stayed at. I got my morning coffee there served with lots of hair in it- nice.Do Starbucks offer this new taste sensation?(best ask Maria i guess). Antoine,is maybe coming too. See you all in York

Pam...... get back to your writing! You obviously have too much time on your hands.
Your picture looks very familiar?
If people are around, they are around. Claire will not mind others being about as it is an open bar anyway. All that is booked is the space upstairs and somebody to sell booze so we don't have to walk downstairs. Nothin' posh (by posh I mean upmarket, not stick thin/scowly faced/fake boobs).

Toby,as long as there is booze available me and Antoine will be there-I have asked you before Antoine, but you are so busy at uni (hmm),that you don't recall it. I am now 9519 words into my 10,000 word dissertation, its nearly finished but is ,as usual, mainly rubbish. If anyone is interested in the VictorianTextile Warehouses of Manchester,I can e-mail it them(Antoin- I am not obsessed with warehouses) Has anyone else seen Shirley Ghostman on BBC3-I love it and am practicing the catch phrases for the dig."I feel your pain,I feel your shame, but your not to blame" Love and light,Ged

I am now 9519 words into my 10,000 word dissertation....If anyone is interested in the VictorianTextile Warehouses.. Good luck with it Ged, I am sure it isn't rubbish at all ! I am 8485 words into my 10-12K word dissertation (on bequest motivation and charity in the Honour of Knaresborough, 1530-1602, ie. not archie stuff). I emailed Chapter 3 off to my supervisor at 2.45 AM this morning and had received encouraging feedback by 9 AM. See, I am writing, but I just have a very strange daily routine at the moment..... ( @ Toby) PS. No sign of the St L final updates on the webpages yet, other than the tiny glimpse provided by my avatar here (right click and open image in new window to enlarge) .....any news on if/when they will be appearing ?

Sorry, I won't be in York this weekend after all as something 'gripped' and 'sorted' has been arranged elsewhere. Hope you all have a good weekend - somebody buy Toby a drink or three or four on my behalf would you? And someone needs to remember to take a digital camera to preserve any incriminating evidence.... I vaguely remember my 30th.....long time ago now...digital camera's probaby weren't even invented then..... See you all in the summer with any luck. Pam
