Well... as you can see.... not that much was done on site at the start of the month! The only thing on site was a rabbit that keep paying us a visit. Guess where this is? Or this? We did have the Angel of the North pay us a visit! Ben got some work completed on the link trench (to the east, next to the completed buildings). Thank you to his angelic helper. When we got back on site we did a little more in sorting out the ovens that you saw in the last update. However, there was a lot of water on site. Underneath this lake we started to reduce the last of the Viking make up deposits (orange and black stripes). We were looking for any early Viking or Roman archaeology. In one of the features Dani found something that looked like the top of a pot. It turned out to be a 3rd Century, possibly later, shale bangle. There was also a jet bead in the same feature.
