Hi all My name is Alison and I'm coming as a Trainee this Summer for the first time! Its my first time on a dig too so I am nervously very excited!!!! I was just looking for some advice re kit to bring! I know I have to get my steel toe capped boots (or "steel tae capped bits" as they're known where I'm from! LOL) and waterproofs but I am a bit clueless about other things! I know that jeans aren't brill if they get wet etc so what sort of material of trousers do folks bring? I just don't want to bring totally inappropriate things. Hope someone can give me the benefit of their experience! Am really looking forward to it all and will probably have millions more questions before August! Hooray! Thanks to all Ali ;D

Alison,
Don't worry too much about what clothes you bring, as long as you don't mind them getting dirty. We do not really want people wearing shorts - but pretty much anything else goes. It is also worth remembering that you will need trousers that you can move about it.... lots of people end up splitting ones that are too tight.
Keep the questions coming.

Hey not fair..... it was just gravity...
Good point though. They do not have to be Simon Cowell high, but higher waistband trouser are good.
(yes it is late, but clocks went forward and can't sleep)
