Having a contest in such a way would just not be fair... there are many on here who know (from direct experience) that I will find everything whilst I am sorting out the trenches at the end and packing up.
All other things will appear as I am showing stuff to people.
.....Somebody ask Pam about her bit of pot in the side of the air-raid shelter cut.... go on I dare you..... it is really funny... whilst she is laughing you could also ask about the path and the horn comb... Go on...! It will be funny I promise

Fee,
When I was up there as a kid (berry picking) it lasted for at least a week and a half! Almost tropical it was!
As long as nobody steals our sunshine it will be fine.

@ Toby Toby forgot to mention the copper alloy Roman cosmetic set (see my new avatar) also found by him in the air raid shelter cut, not a million miles from the aforesaid pot. Then there was the coin and a couple of other interesting finds that Toby found in the piles of loose from where Di and I had been cleaning sections last day of week 12 in 2004. I did try and catch him out by turning up half way through week 13 but by then he'd already found the inscribed bone counter. Perhaps this sort of behaviour could consitute a 'professional foul' and lead to a 1 week ban from the trenches ?? And of course if I am around I would be only to happy to referee.......... ;D

Toby, We've so far had a whole week of summer (last week when Ben got sunburn), then it rained all weekend, and now it's summer again

Don't worry I hear there's rain on the way North from Wales. According to the weather Manchester was the warmest place in Britain today! - Yes I was stuck indoors doing exams.

So it was hot rain in Mnchester today, instead of the normal cold rain?
(only joking - lovely city, just shame about the footy team that wear red)

Well at least the weather is turning in time for my last two exams and I'll not be stuck in a sauna of an exam hall Now if only I could find someone to take them for me...

Does anyone want to take bets that the Aussies *don't* finish on the bottom of the ladder? Just saw a news item re the German town that is housing the Aussie team for the cup and how they are getting behind the Aussies. Somehow a German wearing a blue singlet, shorts and thongs (the foot variety, not the other) shouting "Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi" just doesn't cut it . So all you Scots out there fear not. There's a worserer team.

At least Scots will have all that extra free time and money while everyone else spends unhealthy amounts of time drinking and watching tele. Plus you avoid the emotional rollercoaster.... or you could pick a team to adopt...

Well its all getting even more exciting with the football!
I am sure that you are all on the edge of your seats waiting for the start!
It is quite funny at home as my better half is already sick to death of all the world cup rubbish that is on the telly.... It will be even better when it is underway!!!
Even if you are not into football there is plenty of other things to do. There will be hundreds of people running round the deserted streets doing as much shopping as possible whilst their partner is at home/the pub watching footy.

I am sure that you are all on the edge of your seats waiting for the start! The sooner it starts the sooner it finishes!! I'm only at home for one and a half weeks of matches, and I should miss the final...hoorah!! Like your better half Toby, I'm also fed up of all the build up on the tv. I've been told it only happens once every four years, though, so I'm not allowed to get grumpy at himself taking over the telly to watch football. He's been told to start saving for a second tv....
